New Report on Summer Learning
The Summer Matters campaign has released first-ever findings on the impact of summer learning programs on California students’ academic achievement. The report, Summer Matters- How Summer Learning Strengthens Students' Success found that students who took part in summer learning programs made substantial improvements in their grade-level vocabulary skills, strengthened their social skills and relationships with peers and educators, boosted their confidence and interest in reading, and enhanced their academic habits, attitudes and readiness to learn.
